On 16 September 2023, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan started the Chief Minister Krishak Mitra Yojana. Under this scheme, the farmers of the state will be given benefits. The government helps them with the permanent pump connection they get.

The government also provides the facility of an 11KV power line along with a transformer on pump connection of 3 horsepower and above capacity. The government also helps you up to 50% of the expenditure incurred.

A framework has been prepared for this scheme in a total of two phases. In the first phase, the government will give 10000 pump connections to the farmers.
