CM Krishak Mitra Yojana 2024
On 16 September 2023, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan started the Chief Minister Krishak Mitra Yojana. Under this scheme, the farmers of the state will be given benefits. The government helps them with the permanent pump connection they get.
The government also provides the facility of an 11KV power line along with a transformer on pump connection of 3 horsepower and above capacity. The government also helps you up to 50% of the expenditure incurred.
A framework has been prepared for this scheme in a total of two phases. In the first phase, the government will give 10000 pump connections to the farmers. After this, the farmers who are deprived of taking benefits in the first phase will be given a chance in the second phase. Agricultural pump connections will be given under this scheme for the next 2 years.
The best thing is that while taking advantage of this entire scheme, the government will bear 50% of the entire cost of installing the pump connection transformer and its maintenance and the farmers will have to bear the remaining 50%.

The main objective of the Krishak Mitra Yojana is to encourage farmers towards farming and provide them with a permanent electric pump connection for irrigation so that the farmers suffering from drought do not suffer losses in their farming due to lack of water.
